KVK 10th May

Saturday also seen this slightly hilly race!

The Kilometer of vert in Kernow is not for the faint hearted! This is the first and only vertical  ascent 1000m race in the South West. Based from the Perranporth airfield in trevellas, the course is 2 figure of 8 loops that take on 15 miles of inland hills and coastal running, with some big climbs and equally big downhills for competitors. The event can be run in a relay team of two or solo.

Trevornick 10K 11th May

Today NRR hosted the 6th race in the Cornish glass grand prix series.

This challenging coastal multi terrain race had a bit of everything today for it’s 297 starters: including heavy rain, mud, sheep and an amazing Samba band playing for runners at mile 1 and 5.

However, the rain did not deter from what was a fantastically well organised event, with a great running club atmosphere of positivity and support from everyone involved.

Special mention to Harriet Frost, Glyn Talling and their team of helpers, who pull out all the stops to make this such a great race, and to all the volunteers and marshals who give up their time to support and encourage the runners.

Overall winner was Joshua Rowe from Cornwall AC in 0:35:49 and first lady was Megan Davis also from Cornwall AC in a time of 0:39:41

  • 1st back for NRR was Matthew Murt in 0:38:22
