6.30 An Introduction to Running Group. Newquay Sports Centre.
Takes place throughout the year, everyone is most welcome and there is no charge. Organiser – Becky Miles, would appreciate assistance from Club members to help lead the various groups which have a wide variation in standard. This initiative was established by Run Cornwall and has already welcomed over 500 new runners in just 40 months. Meet in the Reception Area and the group departs at 6.30 p.m.
In the summer, sessions are mainly conducted on the grass; in the winter the group runs are on the road and cover 3 to 4 miles. Please wear hi-viz clothing during the winter months. Throughout the year a 1-mile time-trial is held every 6 to 8 weeks on the grass in the summer and on the road in the winter.
